Wow, we have been busy in the Meek household! School is out, we've been on vacation, we've been remodeling our new house... Wait, what? That's right, we closed on our new house here is Spokane on May 2nd and have been in the midst of remodeling and getting it ready for move in ever since. The basement needed a major overhaul, so we spent the first few days planning and plotting and then tearing out walls. Jon has spent the majority of our summer, so far, buried in the basement working on framing, sheetrock, and now we are on to mud and tape. Progress has been slow, but steady.
We also took a week to go on vacation to the Oregon coast. Those of you who follow me on Instagram saw my fun pictures and what a great time we had. I had waaaay too much fun taking pictures and using a personal hashtag to organize them all. Technology is cool. We spent three days at the beach and in the town of Cannon Beach, and then spent the weekend with friends in Lebanon, Oregon. Jon preached Sunday morning at The River Center in Lebanon, and then we headed home on Monday.
This week, we have begun the process of moving into the new house, even though the basement is not quite finished yet. We have until the end of July to be out of our rental, but I know that time will go by super fast. So we are moving our non-essentials in bit by bit. I'm planning another post soon that will chronicle the remodel and all the progress we have made.
So things are going well for the Meeks in Spokane. Summer is here and we are enjoying every minute (when we are not remodeling or moving!). More updates soon!
