Wow, March has been a busy and exciting month! I don't think we've had one weekend where we got to just hang out. At the beginning of the month, Jon went with Lee (he helps lead our church), to a Leadership Conference in St. Louis. He got to connect with the Missouri Meek side and have dinner with them. The kids and I stayed home and didn't do much, but things are always a little nuts when Daddy's gone.
The next weekend was our Pinewood Derby for Scouts and Grand Prix for Awana! Since Jon was chairing the Scouts event, and I was running the computer for the Awana event, we pretty much lived in Pinewood land for two days straight. The races came off really well, though, and the kids did ok too. Bethany got 3rd place for speed, Michaela got first place for style, and Gabe got 1st place for style and 3rd place for speed. It was a fun day, and I'll try to post some pics just as soon as I get them uploaded.
Last weekend, Jon and I had the fun opportunity to meet Robin Mark, a worship leader and songwriter from Northern Ireland. He did a concert here in town, and CFCC was the venue for the event. Since Robin couldn't bring his entire band over, many of us on the CFCC team got to be the back-up band! It was very fun, and Jon and I got to take Robin to Johnny Carino's for dinner after the concert. We had a great time getting to know Robin a little bit, and we hope that we have the chance to meet up with him again in the future.
Today is Thursday, and we are headed out to Great Falls today for the Montana Shepherd's Conference. We are excited to get out of town, get refreshed and hang at the pool. The kids are especially excited because they get to start Spring Break early! Next week I have big plans for some Spring purging and cleaning, including moving the bunk beds up from Gabe's room into the girls', and just getting rid of "stuff" in general! Plus I have a lot of homework to finish up in the next week (even though it is supposed to be Spring Break, oh well), so it will be a busy place here next week as well. The fun never stops!
'Til next time!!
